Joan Walmsley, LCSW, CAC, BCD graduated from Lake Forest College with a degree in Psychology. She completed Psychotherapy/Clinical Social Work studies from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration in 1982. Her training requirements for adult and child/adolescent mental health were fulfilled at the University of Illinois Medical Center. She is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work and a Certified Addictions Counselor as well as the former Vice Chairman of the California Board of Behavioral Science (see CV). Joan Walmsley specializes in treating adolescents and adults suffering from emotional and psychiatric disorders, as well as couples and individuals with relationship concerns. Joan Walmsley possesses a gentle and approachable personality with sensitivity to multi-cultural issues affecting mental health treatment.
